Inn
at Narrow Passage.
This historic inn has been welcoming travelers along the Great
Wagon Road through the Shenandoah Valley since the 1740s. In the main
building, guests can enjoy the large common room, with its gleaming
pine floors, wing chairs and massive limestone fireplace. A hearty,
fireside breakfast is served in the dining room, with fine restaurants
nearby for other meals. The oldest guest rooms feature wood floors,
stenciling and colonial atmosphere. Rooms in later additions are
decorated in the same style, but open onto porches, with views of the
river and mountains. The inn is fully air-conditioned, all rooms
have queen beds and private baths, most have fireplaces. Guests come to Narrow Passage to
enjoy the outdoors and the heritage of the Shenandoah Valley including
wineries, antique shops, battlefields, caverns and festivals. Shenandoah
