Reservations: http://www.eventbye.com/eventwine050808.htm. Join us for a culinary adventure. You know Italian...French...even Australian, but have you ever sampled wine and cuisine from the country of Georgia? We explore the primary wine country of Eastern Europe, believed by many archaeologists to be the source of the world's first cultivated grapevines, as much as 7000 years ago. We pair five Georgian wines with a selection of authentic Georgian cuisine. Add Georgian music, some interesting local trivia and a photography exhibit featuring this beautiful region for a unique cultural experience. Klimat is one of the few venues in Manhattan that carries an extensive selection of Eastern European wine and beer. We have the pleasure of inaugurating their newly renovated wine bar/cellar. The event is open to singles as well as couples. Our hostess will be on hand to make introductions and an experienced Sommelier will be introducing the wines. The Organizer: Event By E is an event company specializing in social events with a cultural, intellectual twist. Our wine & Spirits tasting events take place bi-weekly and explore different cultures and region around the world. Our next event, Wine & Culture of Spain, takes place on May 27th.
