Wine Recommendations Sweet Summer Sipping Whites Warm July evenings are the perfect time to relax outdoors and enjoy your favorite glass of sweet white wine. Below are our top five wine recommendations for July: "Sweet Summer Sipping Whites". 1. White Lies: The Winery at Wolf Creek in Norton, Ohio. This delicious, sweet wine reminds me of Asti...but without the bubbles. 2. Sweet Walter White: Bully Hill Vineyards in Hammondsport, New York. A blend of native grapes varieties with a perfect, crisp sweetness. We enjoyed this fantastic wine on the Bully Hill Patio on a warm summer day. Magnificent summer sipping wine! 3. Diamond: Lapic Winery in New Brighton, Pennsylvania. This wonderful white tastes just like fresh grapes. Perfect for sipping out on the patio. 4. Autumn Sweet White: Simmons Winery in Columbus, Indiana. This sweet white is a crowd pleaser. All of my friends love this wine...which is also a personal favorite. 5. Rapidan River Sweet Reserve White: Prince Michel Vineyard and Winery in Leon, Virginia. A lovely blend of Riesling and Vidal Blanc. A light and carefree wine. These wines that were previously on the list have fallen from our top-five favorites as we have visited more wineries....but they are still clear winners: Sweet Mountain Laurel: Chateau Morrisette Winery in Meadows of Dan, Virginia. A remarkable white made from Native American grape varieties. Refreshing and sweet. Bianco: Ferrante Winery & Ristorante in Geneva, Ohio. This mellow white, made from Niagara grapes, has just the right touch of sweetness. Winsome: Slate Run Vineyard in Canal Winchester, Ohio. This exceptional wine has a unique "grapey" flavor you'll never forget. |
